Born in Colinton and spending all of my life except 15 years living in South Gyle, I've been involved in local matters including membership of Colinton Amentiy Association where I was involved in looking at improvements to Spylaw Park, Redford Woods and liaising with the Polo Field developer on the Management Plan for the Covenanters Wood (or Dreghorn Woods)

For 21 of the 27 years I spent at J&J, I was a Scientific photographer in a research department creating images using both photons and electrons, gaining a BIPP Fellowship. Now retired I live in Redford close to the military accommadation where my wife, two small dogs and I have lived for 24 years.
